Vale Norm Hunter
January 2, 2020
It is with sadness that we announce that Norm Hunter passed away late in 2019.
Norm was a longstanding member of the club, including as captain of the pictured 1960 B Grade Premiership team including Life Members John Bartlett, Cyril Turner, Bill Smith and John K. Grant, as well as his longstanding friend Eric McCauley.
In his later life Norm moved to Daylesford but he still stayed in touch with the AHC, and he is pictured here with Paddy Shields in 2015 after reading in the paper that Altona were playing Premier League in Ballarat.
Next time you are at the club you can see his name above the Legends Bar on the ’50’s & ’60’s Legends Plaque. Thanks to Ann Cassar and Carmel Studley for notifying us of Norm’s passing.
Rest in Peace.
