Anyone and everyone is welcome to join the Altona Hockey Club. For playing members we offer Hookin2Hockey for children just starting out, through to U18 in juniors, and then a range of senior teams in both men’s and women’s competitions for beginners the whole way through to the top state-based competition and masters.

The AHC has a vibrant social scene including BBQ’s on match days, theme nights and family days as well as our formal presentation night and Fundraising Gala at season’s end. Being a member of Altona Hockey Club is like being part of a family.

The AHC prides itself on providing quality coaches and training equipment along with numerous other member benefits. We strive to make membership affordable to encourage participation by all members of the community.

Our facilities in Sugargum Drive Altona are just 15km west of the Melbourne CBD and feature a large clubroom with well equipped kitchen and bar. We take pride in the facilities we’re able to offer to the Victorian Hockey community.

As part of the West Gate Tunnel Project 2023 Grant funding round, we were lucky enough to be accepted to receive $48,000. The project, led by Andrew Meiers, was undertaken over the pre-season with the scoreboard ready for the start of the 2024 season.
