Introduction to hockey in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne

In 2023, we are holding two Free Come & Try at the Altona Hockey Club on Monday 13th of February and Wednesday 15th of February both from 5.30pm – 6.30pm.

Hookin2Hockey gives young boys and girls the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills and make friends in a team sport environment all while beginning their lifelong love of hockey!

  • For all kids aged 5 to 12 years
  • Introductory program
  • Skill based games
  • 7 Sessions in total (inc. the Free Come & Try)
  • Fun and safe environment
  • Official program of Hockey Australia

For the free come and try night anyone is welcome just to turn up on the night and try, or to register for the whole 6-week program it is available now via the Hookin2Hockey website here, for $70 including insurance, coaching and all costs for the program:

2022 Hookin2Hockey Come & Try Hockey

Location: Altona Hockey Club on Sugar Gum Drive, Altona, 3018 (click here for Google Maps).

Cost: Free for Come & Try Night, $70 for the 6-week block, including all coaching and insurance costs.

Equipment: None needed for the come & try night, just runners and if you have a mouthguard that is recommended. For the rest of the program we will have hockey packs available which include a stick, shin pads and a ball
