We have received updates from some of our AHC representatives at the U18 national tournaments on how they are going so far. Josh Horton and Andrew Scanlon are currently playing with the U18 men, while Jess Brennan is playing, and Marc Richardson coaching the U18 women.

U18 Men
from Josh Horton and Andrew Scanlon
Andrew scanlon (Goldy) and josh Horton (Choco) have been competing in the under 18 national tournament over the past 2 weeks! ( 30th dec- 13th)
Starting off with 3 games in 3 days Victoria was dominant in their wins over ACT 8-2, TAS 5-1 and SA 3-1! Over the weekend Victoria met two very strong and talented sides in NSW who they drew 1-1 and QLD 2-2. After a days rest Victoria came out and were able to get the points against WA 3-0! NT gave Vic a good fight until Andrew came out and scored 2 goals with his drag flick, the game finishing with Vic winning 6-2!
Victoria’s brilliant performance in The round games has allowed them to find themselves in top spot, perfectly placed for finals as they face WA in the semi!!
Both boys are starting in Victorias starting 11 and are playing a big part in the teams success!

U18 Women
from Marc Richardson

The U18 girls have been playing well despite a frustrating week. We have drawn 4 games which means we will just miss out on the top 4 to play finals. The group is extremely young, with only 4 top age players, so all of the signs are looking good for a strong future.

Jess is playing well, with good speed, and strength on the ball. She is currently equal top goal scorer in the team with 3 goals.
