In response to the feedback of my readers, a very brief Prez Sez this week…

  • Representative team trials.  Quite a few of our players are attending trials at the moment for representative teams (school, regional and state).  I wish you all the best of luck.  I’m sure you’ll represent yourselves and our club very well.
  • I was impressed with the junior results from last round.  Our 12 junior teams recorded 5 wins, 4 draws and 3 losses.  Keep up the good work.
  • Mums make a great contribution to the success and enjoyment of our club.  I know quite a few mum’s are being rewarded with a lovely lunch at the club on Saturday.  If you can’t make it to our lunch, I hope Mother’s Day on Sunday is relaxing and enjoyable.
  • Greensborough hockey club will hold the Michael McLean Memorial Day during Round 6.  Our State League 1 men’s team have accepted an invitation to be involved.  Details of the day appear later in the newsletter.  I sincerely appreciate Greensborough’s offer to involve us in the occasion.
  • See below for details on our new website. It’s been reinvigorated and I’m confident it will become the single point of reference for all hockey matters for our members.
