The Board of the Altona Hockey Club, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Newell as the Men’s Premier League Head Coach for 2015. Ben has been an integral part of the men’s coaching panel under Ben Guy for the last 2 seasons. Ben has previously been an assistant coach to our Women’s State League 1 team as well as coaching stints in both Townsville and Fremantle. As a player Ben represented our State League 1 side 148 times for 34 goals over his career.
The Board believes the coaching experience Ben has gained in his roles as an assistant as well as his extensive knowledge of the current playing group will enable the squad to continue their development which resulted in a return to finals in 2014.
