Hookin2Hockey at Altona Hockey Club
Introduction to hockey in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne
We are holding a Free Come & Try session at the Altona Hockey Club on Tuesday the 5th of May 2026 from 5.30 – 6.30pm – arrival 5.15pm to register.
Hookin2Hockey gives young boys and girls the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills and make friends in a team sport environment all while beginning their lifelong love of hockey!
- For all kids aged 5 to 12 years
- Introductory program
- Skill based games
- 7 Sessions in total (including the Free Come & Try)
- Fun and safe environment
- Official program of Hockey Australia
For the free Come & Try night, anyone is welcome just to turn up on the night and try.
To register for the following 6-week Hookin2Hockey program (7 weeks in total including the Come & Try), you can register using the link below – the cost is for $70 including insurance, coaching and all costs for the program.
Location: Altona Hockey Club on Sugar Gum Drive, Altona, 3018 (click here for Google Maps).
Cost: Free for Come & Try Night, $70 for the 6 week block including all coaching and insurance costs.
Equipment: None needed for the come & try night, just runners, a drink bottle and if you have a mouthguard that is recommended.
