Hookin2Hockey and Free Come & Try for 2021

Free Come & Try for hockey!

On Monday the 1st of March at 5.30pm, the perfect introduction for primary school aged children to the game of hockey. The Altona Hockey Club has an 8-week program of Hookin2Hockey with the first week a free come and try session available to all kids aged 5 to 12.

Details:

  • Monday 1st of March, starts at 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
  • At the Altona Hockey Club on Sugar Gum Drive, Altona.
  • Ages 5-12 years old, boys and girls.
  • Just bring runners and a mouthguard if you have one (not essential but recommended), we have sticks to use, balls and fully qualified coaches.
  • Hookin2Hockey is the Hockey Australia national junior program with a great environment to learn the skills and team aspects of hockey.

A great environment to learn the skills of team sports, introductory hockey skills and have fun. We have a COVIDSafe environment, you will need to scan the QR code to check-in, and maintain 1.5m space on the sidelines, with full hockey allowed on the field.

Hookin2Hockey at Altona Hockey Club

Location: Altona Hockey Club on Sugar Gum Drive, Altona, 3018 (click here for Google Maps).

Cost: Free for Come & Try Night, $70 for the 8-week block, including all coaching and insurance costs.

Equipment: None needed for the come & try night, just runners and if you have a mouthguard that is recommended. For the rest of the program we will have hockey packs available which include a stick, shin pads and a ball
