Last week we headed to wintery Ballarat, to face a fierce opponent in Greensborough. The game from the very first whistle was played at a high intensity, and we were under the pump in the first few minutes. We defended well with numerous corners against us and contusions goal shots in the first half with a couple of opportunities to attack unfortunately we couldn’t convert.

We came out firing in the second half with more opportunities to attack with a few corners and goal shot again unlucky to finish. With a surprise appearance from crowd favourite Phoebe “phroffie” Rothfield when young gun Ellen got injured surly a goal was in the works. Our defence held strong right until the final whistle which resulted in a corner after the siren, where Burra slotted a goal.

A gutting finish to a really well fought game, which is sure to be looking for a win with vengeance against Kew this week. Hopefully the blue and gold army will be there in full force to help support the AHC chicks.
