Altona Hockey Club co-hosted the Australian Men's Veterans Hockey Championships.  These National Championships commenced in Altona on 28th September and ran until the 10th October. Seventy teams played in the age groups Men's 40s to 70s. Approximately 70 games were fixtured for Altona with the remainder played at Footscray Hockey Centre.
